"I imagine anyone with half a wit and decency would try and aid them." She said as she brushed her bangs from her face. Looking up in the trees as she heard a few birds she watched them flutter and hop around on the branches of the mix of green, brown and gray masses of the trees. "No, nothing I can think of at the moment." She looked at him and returned the smile.

He smiled. "I'm glad i filled your quota of questions for the moment." he said smiling a bit larger. "Oh, and don't worry about anything else coming to get you, nothings going to come near this place for a while." he said with a smile. He looked up at the sky. It was now starting to get dark, and the crickets were starting to chirp and the fireflys came out to light up the small area with little tiny lights. He smiled at the scene that had unraveled before them. This was deffinitly one of the best nights of his life. This was the first time he had ever had a deep, meaningful conversation with anyone since he was human, all those memories now cloudy and shrouded by a haze. "You know, I haven't spent any time with anyone like this since I became this way? Almost thirty-nine years of solitude, now, is over. And I'm very thankful for that." he said, a huge, warm smile spreading across his perfect face.

Skye gave a smile, "Do I look worried about something coming?" Laughing slightly she looked around before swatting an annoying bug away from her face, Turning she smiled and looked at him, "Why did you confine yourself to solitude like that? I mean why not get out their and have fun. Like jump off mt. evrest being you can't die. I'm sure that would be a nice adrenaline rush." She said jokingly, "Glad I could help, though."

He laughed. "Deffinitly not. I just thought I would let you know." he said, grinning. He listened to her question and sighed. "Being what I am, as human as I may look, there are many things that would give me away." He carefully reached over and crefully took her hand. "The temperature of my skin for one, is far below the temperature of any human." he said, ever so slowly, reluctantly, letting go of her hand. "Second, the fact that no one ever sees me eat, anything. I don't eat." He then laughed. "That doesn't sound anarexic." He sighed. "There are also many other things, but im not going to go on about it." He nodded. "I could, but being a vampire, things like that don't thrill us as much as you would think."

"I can imagine so. So many people would find immortality, the speed, the strength. All of it incredible. Something to die for but, it sounds horrible. Having to forget everything, change who you are, hide yourself so you don't hurt others, or others don't discover what you are. How the hell did you manage to go so long without going crazy?" She said looking at him as he let go of her hand.

Gabriel smiled. "Exactly. It's a very amazing thing. But it's also the worst of curses. To walk a doomed world forever, most of the time alone." he said sighing. He listened to her and then smiled. "It's not that I managed to endure." he said, the mood in his voice changing. "It's that I had to. There aren't many things in this world that can kill a Vampire." he said, slghtly smileing. "I managed to accept the fact that I'm not an evil beast bred for killing..."

She gave a small nod and smiled, "Yeah I figured you can't exactly just decapitate and throw the body in the sunlight. Seems to theatrical to be involved with the real thing." Crossing her legs she propped her elbows on her knees and looked up at the continuous darkening sky.

He smiled. "You're telling me. I never in a million years as a human thought i would become this. It makes me feel like Dracula... oh, and just to fill you in, he never existed." he said grining nice and big. He sighed and reached for her hand again. He slowly retracted his hand, looking down. "Sorry... I guess my feeling for you are stronger then i thought." he said , a grin suddenly appearing on his face. "Maybe even stronger then the scent of your blood." he said, letting a light chuckle escape his lips.

"Actually a man did exist who was called Vlad Dracula. He wasn't a vampire. Just a man known as Vlad the third, Prince of Wallachia, more commonly known as Vlad the Impaler." She said with a chuckle, "From 1431 – December 1476, was a Wallachian a southern Romanian voivode. His three reigns were in 1448, 1456–1462, and 1476. Vlad the Impaler is known for the exceedingly cruel punishments he imposed during his reign. In the English-speaking world, Vlad the third is perhaps most commonly known for inspiring the name of the vampire in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. As prince, Vlad maintained an independent policy in relation to the Ottoman Empire and was a defender of Wallachia against Ottoman expansionism...." She stopped speaking and turned slightly red at her babbling, "I watched a program on the history channel out of boredom one day." She watched his hand reach for hers and then pull back, "No its OK. there's nothing to be sorry for. You can't help who you're attracted to. No one can help who they are attracted to."

He smiled at her wide knowledge. "Impressive, very correct." he said smiling very wide. "And I ment as a Vampire, there was no vampire named 'Count Dracula'. That's all just a bunch of made up mumbo-jumbo." he said smirking. He sighed nervously and once again moved to place his hand on hers. "I'm glad you understand, romance for mythical beings is different from a humans. For vampires, it's more of just an automatic choice, they don't really chose who it is they love. Humans don't neccasarily beleive in 'Love at first site' but that's pretty well what it is for vampires." he said, his vice quivering a bit from the nervousness. "This might sound very strange and...creepy? But I don't know, if you don't think vampires are creepy then I guess I shouldn't be worrying should I?" he said, the nervousness leaving and a smirk replacing it.

She smiled, "I know what you meant." Pushing her hair from her face she let her eyes drift down to their hands, "I understand anything unless I refuse to understand it or don't want to understand it." She said as she listened to him, "You don't creep me out. No vampire would unless they were talking about ripping me limb for limb and drinking my blood from a wine glass. Then I would be creeped out a bit. So you have no need to worry."

He smiled, and then laughed at her last comment. "Well that's good. And it's alkso a good thing I don't plan on drinking your blood from a wine glass, although the wine glass part sounds rather sophisticated for a vampire." he said laughing lightly. He then looked into her eyes. "So you don't mind that I'm holding your hand?" he said, smiling lightly. "Does that possibly mean you have some feelings for me aswell? Or am i mistaken? Either way is fine, I understand if you don't." he said with an understanding smile, lifting some of the weight off her hand, making their contact a little less together. (If that last part made sense :S XD)

She smile and gave a laugh, "No I don't mind that your holding my hand." She looked at him and said, "Yes I do have feelings for you. You're not mistaken." She watched him lift his hand off of her own and looked at him and smiled, "I'm glad your understanding."

He smiled as he listend to her words and then placed his hand back on hers. "Then that's good we are on the same page." he said with a smile. He then quickly got up. "Do you want to try something fun?" he said, a huge smirk spreading across his face. He seemed very excited. In acctuality, eh was, he was fnally able to have someone in his life who he could share his every thought with, his every secret. He wasn't alone anymore.

"Uh sure, what do you have in mind?" She asked as she stood up. Brushing the back of her jeans off she adjusted her jacket and pushed her hair back from her face. She smiled back at him and waited for his reply.
