He shot a dark glance back at her, showing her his pearly white teeth. "They're not after me." he said, turning back to the lions around them. "They're after you." he said, another loud, fierce growl escaped his mouth as one lion got closer. "...If you run away from me after this, I wont blame you." he said, looking down for a moment before immediatly raising his head to the lions again. "But I'm going to beg that you keep what ever you see here today... a secret... no one can know, not even your closest friend." he said, looking back again with compassionate eyes. But he had no time to get an answer, in a split second he was gone. A lion had lunged toward her and he had jumped infront of Skye, the lion's claws peirced through his shirt. He smirked and grasped the lion's throat, and crushed it, hearing the bone snap. He then tossed the carcass way and lunged at another, tearing through it with his bare hands. The other's, seeing what happend, ran off in fear, while Gabriel, lay there, a carcass at his knees, in a pool of blood.

"What are you talking about?" She asked but knowing it didn't reach his attention as he lunged out at the mountain lion. She was about to shout at him for doing something so stupid but heard the neck of the lion snap. Her eyes widened and her hand flew to her mouth in shock. Sure she had seen plenty of gory movies but this wasn't no movie and this wasn't no dream. Backing away slightly as the lion fell to the ground she said,
"How did you do that? More over what the fuck are you? no human can take on a 250 to 300 pound large cat so easily with very little force." Her brown eyes looked at him as she walked over slowly and looked at the dead animal and then him,
"I seen it claw at you, why aren't you injured. Your shirt is torn but your not injured or bleeding." Her eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at him and began thinking. Trying to put the puzzle together. She had seen enough horror and science fiction movies to be a walking science fiction/horror dictionary, As she began running through clip after clip of every movie she seen she immediately figured out the puzzle.
He knew they were coming before a sound was made, super strength, and he was all in all inhuman looking. No human was so flawless. But the puzzling part was he was in the daylight and around humans, but that's when she remembered when just moments before he avoided patches of sunlight like a plague.
Her eyes widened and she looked at him as if questioning her own sanity and muttered, "Vampire, but how? They don't exist. Well I mean there are those that call themselves vampires. because all Myths and Legends have an extent of truth in them but, this is absurd. How can you be the dead of the undead, bloodsucker, creature of the night. Whatever you people prefer. I mean its insane. This can't be real."

He sighed, placing the palms of his hands to his eyes. He then stood and carefully looked at her. "Not all the myths and legends you hear are true." he said, making sure to keep his distance. He tilted hsi head slightly, looking at her with hard eyes. "But the one about the existance of vampires is a true one."he said, his facial expression never changing between thoughts. Still seeming to be extremely upset about the whole ordeal. "We have always been among you, although all humans, no offense, are too dumb and feeble to know whowe are untill they're under the hand of death as they know it." he said, trying to calm the harshness in his voice. "Now that you know who i am, do you fear me?" he said, immediatly leaving tyhe spot from where he was from to stand directly behind her.
"Do you think that if you screamed, people would hear you before I killed you?" he said, seeming more tense, more scary. He walked to her front to stare into her eyes. "Would you run back to town and tell everyone of the monster you encountered? Start a riot and come after me with Wooden Stakes and Garlic?" he said, chuckling lightly, but also seeming annoyed. "Because I tell you now Skye, you're tough, independant outside may be enough to keep other's from touching you, to keep them fearing you, but such tricks will not even slightly phase a vampire." he said looking at her dead in the eyes., only inches from her face. "Do you fear me Skye?" he said, his voice intense with seriouseness. His butterscotch eyes seeming totally solid and feirce.
He backed away however, before she had a chance to speak, giving her some space, and some time to think things through. He looked at her, eyes intense with a burning glow. "And please, use your brain and not your 'cocky' attitude to think this one out, if i may be so bold." he said, with a very, very light grin appearing on his afce before it, with the same quickness, dissapeared, back to staring at her with his brown eyes.

Skye watched him, following him with her eyes, "There are people who do know and believe you do exist...You don't scare me." She crossed her arms, "I'm not going to tell anyone, Nor am I going to scream or run. I'm not one that gets scared easily. Even if I am close to death." She gave a small smile, "Not even the fact you nearly ripped the lion's head off scares me. It just startled me, Two questions though. Why are your eyes gold. I mean shouldn't they be black or red? and how did you know they wanted me? I mean they could have been coming for both of us. Or you alone."
She looked at him and then the animal. Shaking her head slightly she gave a small laugh, "If you weren't immortal or a fucking rock I'd hit you and call you a fucking suicidal idiot for pulling a stunt like that." She leaned against a tree and said, "So what do you plan to do with that? Leave it there to stink and decompose, bury it, or do whatever it is you do after you break the neck of something that was protecting its territory?"
She raised an eyebrow and pushed her hair from her face. She really was thinking about hitting her head against the tree to see if she actually was dreaming but decided she didn't want to deal with a headache afterward. Millions of thoughts ran through her mind. Out of all the things she had seen and read with vampires in it, they were far from close to what they actually were.

He sighed. His plan was not going well. He had hoped to scare her off, just a little, so she would keep her distance. But maybe, his existance was becoming needed, maybe she was why. "My eyes are gold now, because I'm not 'thirsty'." he said, letting the words slip out slowly, but with his velvet voice easing his words. "They would usually be red, but, unlike other vampires, I don't drink Human blood, I drink animal blood." he then turned and walked toward her slowly. "And think about the question you just asked. You saw it bite my skin and not even leave a scratch, you saw how i broke that lion's neck without even applying any force. Do you really think that a Mountain Lion would chose a vampire for a meal, when beside him is a weak, warm blooded human? Who probably tastes a million times better?" he said with a chuckle.
He laughed. "That's no suicide mission for me missy, I hunt all the time, however usually I'm not protecting a young woman who isn't afraid of death it's self." he said with his signature grin. He also laughed lightly as her next comment. "Well since I'm not thirsty, I can just let them decompose. Besides I'm never going to take you hunting with me." he said with a smirk.
He then breathred through his nose again, the scent of her blood was back. He tried to force it out but this time he couldn''t ignore it. He groaned and took a step back. "Sorry If im acting unusual enough, but your scent is extremely strong, and I don't want to hurt you. That would break my streak of never tasting human blood." he said, probably sounding much like a satin worshiper. "Acctually, your scent is better then any others I have ever smelled." he said, getting a little closer. "I'll just have to be extra careful around you." he said with a smile.

"See you could easily loose control and kill me yet I stand here. I think that sums up the fact I'm a freak." She said with a laugh, "I won't scream or run. Like I said the near ripping the things head off only startled me. I pretty much laugh when someone gets there throat slit and blood squirts out with every last breath they take... Yeah I know creepy." She raised an eyebrow and said sarcastically, "Now don't I feel special. I have a vampire who can't even be near me because he seems to have a urge to sniff me because I smell good."
She slid down the tree and sat down on the slightly damn ground, Not caring if her pants got wet from the water or not. Folding her arms over her knees she said, "How long have you been a vampire?" She looked at him curiously as she picked up a leaf and began tearing it apart with her fingers.

Gabriel smiled at her comments. "You know, most vampires would find that rather cruel and anoying." he said with a smile as he walked over and sat beside her. "And you don't find the fact that i think your blood smells amazing to be creepy at all? Like you're not going to be on your guard when you're around me?" he asked with a grin.
He waited to respond to this. He had to to think back a long time. Also on top of that, vampires never liked thinking about how long they have been the way they are, it also made them feel so...evil. But he sighed and turned to look at her eyes. "I've been this way for about Thirty-Nine years." he said with a sigh, looking down at her hand and then back at her eyes. "I am Fifty-Seven years old." he said, seeming slghtly sad. He looked out into the woods and then at her again. "You know, you're the only human who has ever known my secret? I always just went to school and came how and sat at my house, doing nothing, waiting for a reason for my existance." he said, slightly ashamed. "But, I think now i have found out what my existance is for." he said, still seeming very timid about this subject. "It's You. There is something about you, some reason why you caught my attention, some reason why you know my secret. Thats what i beleive." he said, not trying to sound too weird, although there was probably no hope in that. "So I guess now you're going to be stuck with me, I hope that's alright." he said with a light chuckle and a smirk, trying to lighten the mood a little bit.

She gave a laugh, "I'm weird. And it doesn't bother me because I know if you start sniffing me it just your instincts and that I need to yell at you to get a grip, and not creepy perverted obsession." She dropped the now torn up leaf to the ground, "I think I can trust you enough that I won't have to be on my guard all the time."
"Isn't having a human know your secret and knowing there are more of you out there dangerous for both sides?" She asked as she took her hair down and slipped her scrunchy around her wrist, "I mean there are probably both pro's and con's to the situation as well as overlapping outcomes to the whole situation."
She gave another small laugh, "I'm your reason for existing? What so special about me that made me catch your attention. Besides the fact that you think my blood smells like your next oh so tempting meal?" Raising her eyebrow she said, "I mean seriously I'm nothing but a rebellious riot who likes to break the rules and the law."

He heard what she said and seemed deep in thought. "Yes i suppose, but only if the royalty of our kind, the Volturi, were to find out. We are not supposed to reveal ourselves to humans for any reason. The only way they are allowed to know is if there is a plan to turn them into a one of us." he said, now realizing the fault in what he had done. Because of Renesmee's new child, the Volturi would be all over this place like a hound dog on a fresh blood trail. They would find him, and rack his mind for any information he may have on the new "Immortal Were-wolf Child". He suddenly looked very stern at her. "Yes you are 100% correct, I have put you in more danger then a group of mountain lions ever could." he said smashing his head against the back of the tree, creating a crater where his head had been. "It will be alright though, that I promise you." he said, calming himself. As long as he wasn't around when the Volturi came, she would be safe. Or would she? He let the thought pass him by and moved on to her other questions.
His eyes darkened and his head dropped as if he was ashamed to have let such words as "reason for existing" had even escaped his lips, and was now embarassed. His cheeks would have turned bright red if he could blush. "I know what you're thinking 'Isn't that kind of crazy?' But when you live in a time such as mine, things are far different from the way your Human lives seem to understand." he said, shifting himself to look at her. "The scent of a human is far stronger and far more complex then you give it credit for." he said again, playing with a blade of grass in his hand before letting it twirl in the wind and off into the woods. "The scent of humans signifys how... tastefull... there blood would be. It's the same as when two humans are attracted to eachother. It's said that when two people have an attraction, the other's scent is naturally more irresistable to one another. The same goes for Vampires, except to a whole new level entierly." he said, seeming to sound way smarter then he would have wanted. He shook his head and continued. "You have the strongest scent I have ever known. That means I, as weird as this may sound, have an extremely strong attraction to you. That fact gives me reason to beleive there is a reason why you entered my life. Hence, giving me the reason to live I've been looking for." he said, shaking his head again. "Wow I must sound super corny." he said laughing lightly to himself. "Anyway, the point is there is more to a human's scent then 'the next big meal." he said grinning.

"Royal Vampires? Let me guess self centered idiots who think the world revolves around them?" She said as she looked at him and crossed her arms, "You don't have to promise me anything. I tend to find danger wherever I go sometimes I'm the one who causes it, but if they try anything I am sure as hell going to give them a few earfuls of very selective and colorful words before they do anything." She gave a laugh.
"You don't have to be embarrassed." She said with a smile, "and you do not sound corny. I've heard far more cornier while being bored, listening into others conversations." She gave a small nod, "There is always more to everything in this world. but if you try to bite me I'll just buy you a muzzle." she said jokingly.

He smiled. "Basicly, ever since one of the incidents here a couple years ago with another Coven, no one ever looked at them the same way again." he said, shifting his weaight where he sat. He grinned at her joke, but also seemed seriouse. "This danger is like none you could think of. It's far worse then a couple of school fights and some Graffiti." he said, looking at her. "These people could tear you apart, limb from limb easier then you could life your finger." he said, looking at her with his compassionate brown eyes. "But i wont let that happen. Even if you don't need promises, I promise." he said with a smile.
He laughed at her muzzle joke. "Not that it would do you any good." he said, grinning. "But you don't have to worry about me biting you, I have the strongest immunity to blood then any other vampire, perhaps possibly Carlisle." he said smileing. "And don't be weirded out by some of the things I may say, coming from a different time means different manors, so if I start flirting with you and you don't like it, just tell me." he said, grining his signature smirk. "Just warning you in advance."

Skye laughed, "I think I have read and seen enough and wide enough variety of vampire movies to get an idea of what they can do. Even if the movies and books are way off of what vampires really are." She picked a pine cone up and began picking it apart slowly.
"Glad to know you have a good restraint. Don't worry I won't hesitate to let you know if I don't like something." She said with a smile as she tossed a piece of the pine cone on the ground in front of her, "What happened here a few years ago? Vampires go wild or something?"

He smiled. "Those movies are more off then you know." he simply rubbed his finger in the small dirt patch infront of him, creating little piles of dirt. "Well that's good, I don't want to be doing something you dont like." he said with a smile.
He listened to her question and smiled lightly. "Sort of. I wasn't here at the time, but the Volturi came because of Bella Cullen's baby 'half vamp'. The Volturi were scared of what it might be capable of and decided to come and destroy it. As well, they looked for vampires with natural talents. But in short form, things never were the same for them. The baby is still alive today however, they were forced to leave. But ever since that day, they have become very disrespected."

"Oh. Sounds to me like the Volturi are scared of losing their high position of the vampires. But who doesn't if you hold a certain power over something." She said as she tossed the pine cone across the small path and into the bushes. "Ties it together with the fact they wanted to kill a baby. Just because it was a vampire, human cross breed." She picked at her finger nail idly as she listened to the wildlife in the forest around them.

He nodded. "They are. Altough they know it's almost impossible for any Coven to gain enough support to oppose them, they still make sure everyone knows they are boss, and what they say goes." he said, lshifting his head to let his brown hair fall against and cover one eye. "However they left, I don't know all the details myself, but the story is one of great importance in our history. It was one of the only times anyone ever dared to oppose the Volturi." he said sighing again. "I wish I had known then, I would have come to their aid and helped them."
It was quite for a moment. all that could be heard were the birds chirping overhead and leaves crunching under the weight of their bodys as they twisted and turned and shiifted their weight to aquire comfort. "So do you have anymore questions for me? Anything else you would like to know?" he asked with a smile.
