The sun was not out today. This was often the case in the small town of Forks. The wind blew gently, making the cold day much colder. Gabriel lay in the grass, the other roudy teenagers screaming and yelling around on the grass. For Forks, this was an unusual good day, at least they could go outside. He sniffed the air, his vampire senses heightening everything around him, his sight, his scent, even his hearing. He could here the water fountain gurgling way over at building 6, and the rocks skipping along the pavement as people walked.
Things never changed much between the years he had attended high school. There was always the same loud ignorant teens, the same courses they were teaching 25 years ago, the same routine. Would things ever change? Would he ever be needed? He didn't know, but there had to be a reason. He took a deep breath through his nose, and he found a variety of scents. Pizza, gas... B.O.... that was a very disgusting scent that burned his nose. But then there was another scent, a familiar scent, one very similar to his own. He sat uo instinctivly, and looked around for the source of the scent.

It was another day in the neighborhood. Forks was the same as it always had been. This was her third year here the second time around, and high school was getting really old. Learning the same things over again was stupid. Bella wouldn't mind trying college. But for now, she'd have to ride out the rest of the year learning drab old high school trivia. Bella endured it. She got ready every morning and left the house to sit and listen to dumber-than-average teachers lecture to even dumber students.
Today it was cool, cloudy, but not raining, so it was a pretty nice day out in comparison to how it usually was this time of year-- frigid and snowing. Bella's long dark brown hair was in a loose ponytail, and she was wearing a baby blue long sleeved t-shirt and tan cords. She finally couldn't bear class anymore, so between third and fourth block, she left the halls and made her way out to the lawns, expecting to find no one there. To her surprise, she did meet someone there-- and even more surprisingly, this "someone" was a vampire. Bella locked eyes with this other vampire, one unknown to her family. At least, as far as she was aware. Maybe Carlisle had tabs on him and he just hadn't bothered to tell her. He didn't look threatening, at least, so Bella decided to make a meeting with him. If he wasn't in a bad mood now, she dind't want to cause him to be in one from her ignoring him. She smiled and stepped the few yards between them in an easy stride. "Hello," she said, sticking her hand out for him to shake. "I'm Bella Cullen. I don't believe I've seen you here before?"

Gabriel turned to see the girl. He smiled warmly. So this was the infamous Bella Cullen who had had the dealings with the Volturi because of her half vampire daughter. He stood up and grasped her hand firmly. "So you are the newest of the Cullens? Isabella Swan. It's nice to finally meet you." he said, seeming very happy to meet her, his warm butterscotch eyes reflected the little light there was on this cloudy day. " My name is Gabriel Knight, i moved to this location two years ago." He said as he shifted his weight, trying to act as human as possible. " Beleive it or not i was acctually looking for the Cullens, not that your scent is original enough, but i didn't want to seem to impose on you, i was waiting for one of you to come to me" he said with a smirk. "I've been wanting to talk to Carlilse, but also I've wanted to meet you. You are very well known to the 'Vampire community'". He said jokingly. He then would have blushed if he could. "Sorry... I haven't talked to a fellow vampire in years, so i apologize if im talking too much, you'll have to forgive me" He said innocently.

Bella smiled politely as she shook hands with the vampire who introduced himself as Gabriel. "It's very nice to meet you as well," she said, flashing him a brilliant smile. Well, at least he was friendly and she didn't have to worry about a fight from him. She had enough on her plate to worry about without that. "I am the newest of the family, actually. I've only been like this for about thirty years," she joked, laughing her bell-tone laugh. Bella listened patiently as Gabriel spoke of looking for the Cullen family. This actually surprised her a little bit. They were well known among some vampires, sure, but no one actually ever searched them out. That was a new one. Bella kept her composure, though. "Don't worry about it, Gabriel, talk as much as you like. It's nice meeting someone new who we don't have to hide a secret from. As long as you don't hunt in our town, that's all we can ask. Of course, according to your eyes, you're vegetarians like us." She grinned. "It's good to know we won't have any trouble. Now, if you don't mind my asking, was there a reason why you needed to talk to Carlisle? I may be able to answer any questions you have." Bella didn't want to be rude, but honestly, she didn't want to waste Carlisle's time right now, what with him trying to figure out what to do about Renesmee's baby and everything. There were more important things to worry about.

He smiled at her friendlyness. He could see what Edward had seen in her. He smiled at her age joke. "Well i guess we're both not that old then. I've been this way for about 57 years, give or take a few months in between." he said with another of his signature smirks. He also smiled at her comment about him talking as much as he'd like and the hunting. "Ahh you are correct. I have never tasted human blood, although im sure it's much better then the animal's, probably kills the burn better, but, i'd still never drink it." he said with a smile. "Oh yes about Carlisle, as you may know the rumor of you're daughter's child is no secret among the world of mythical creatures, I was acctually hoping to become aquainted with him as he seems to be the "leader", if i may be so bold, and i was then hoping to offer my services to you and your family." he said as a huge smile spread across his face. "Basicly what I want to ask is what i can do to help." he said with his sweet, friendly smile.
