Alice was getting excited; well more excited than Alice Cullen is normally. She'd seen a storm coming, not just any storm, a BIG storm! Naturally the moment her vision showed her the rare event that was about to unfold, Alice gracefully with such incredable speed that could have matched Edwards for a moment; informed her family of the news.
Around the open Forest field, Alice scattered the bases in their respective positions. First, second, third, pitcher's mound, home. The ball was dry and ballancing gracefully on the pitchers mound. The Bats were lined in order ready for use. In her mind she saw the teams - Herself, Jasper, Edward and Carlisle against Rosalie, Bella, Emmett, Nessie and even Jacob was playing today. Esme like almost always was trying to keep the game 'fair' - what could be fair about a psycic playing against a werewolf?!
Everything was set. And yet still Alice waited, it did not normally take this long to start a game. Though she was mostly suprised that Carlisle and Nessie were not here - they both usually beat her to a game. Turning her head to the left, Alice smiled as she heard the fast aproaching footsteps.
'One, two. One, two. One, two.' Alice silently counted in her mind. The speed of each footstep would lead Alice to believe that it was Esme aproaching. But the steps were to heavy to be her 'mothers'. Silently Alice waiting in anticipation to see who was about to arive.

Edward had seen Alice’s vision about the thunderstorm that was coming but before it could truly register with him his sister was already at his door informing him what was going to happen. Her overly excited reaction got a laugh out of him, but he didn’t take his time gathering the baseball outfit he always wore, one very similar to the one the rest of the family had.
It wasn’t long before Edward was out of the house and heading towards the field that acted as their baseball field. He loved the game, even if there was some insinuation that members in the family cheated. It was just like when chess was being played, no one wanted to play against Alice or Edward. The only thing he didn’t like about their version of baseball was the fact that they had to wait for a storm and they didn’t happen too often. As he ran he listened so he could pick up Alice’s thoughts, eager to figure out what member’s he’d be playing with, he didn’t really care he just liked to know ahead of times. He smiled catching Alice’s train of thought; he loved being on the opposite team as Emmett, mainly because he liked getting him out.
Edward pushed himself fast toward the clearing, getting closer he could hear Alice counting his steps, one, two repetitively, which in result had him counting his own steps with her. It wasn’t long before Edward was at his petite sister’s side. “You thought I was Esme?” he said with a laugh. “I didn’t expect to be the first one here.” he added looking around.
He was with Alice on this one, usually Carlisle was the first to show. Most wouldn’t guess it, mainly because they didn’t truly know him, but he was quite into this game. Edward saw that she had everything set up and ready to play, he was quite anxious to get the game started just like she was.

“You thought I was Esme?”
Alice sighed, rolling her eyes when her "older" brother came to a stop in the clearing. "Come come now Edward, how could I not think you were our mother?! You wern't exactly running at your usual pace."
Tilting her neck to the left, and then again to the right, Alice heard the tiny cracking sound she was looking for. It was something she did when she was anxious; very few knew that - probably only her Jasper. Mainly because she was never anxious around the rest of her family ... only when she couldn't see.
Alice wanted to start the game, she didn't know how long this storm would last. The last time they tried to play Rosalie held them up and by the time she showed the storm was moving on.
"Where are they!?" the tiny vampire silently asked herself, knowing she wouldn't have to verbalise her question. Undoubtably her mind reading (and sometime privacy invading) brother would have already heard her unspoken question.
Suddenly Alice did wish Jacob had not decided to play (even though he was doing it for Bella). She couldn't see now that he was part of the future game! There wasn't even little holes to give her a glimps into their future ... Does that mean there were other werewolves playing as well?!
"Perhaps a race to fill in the time?" Alice spontaniously decided before taking off across the field. Yes techniqually her leaving was cheating (she needed the head start; Edward would beat her anyway!) But for the record she DID tell him before she started running.

Edward rolled his eyes at her comment, “Just because I wasn’t running my normal speed, doesn’t mean I was that light on my feet. Maybe you’re losing your hearing?” Edward said, teasing her. His eyes wandered back to the spot where he’d just come from, it was odd that no one was here, seeing as he was usually one of the middle people to arrive but he was never late. He wasn’t going to be the one that blamed for them missing the storm since they couldn’t actually know the length of the storm, well Alice usually could just not when Jacob was part of the game.
Edward didn’t really mind that Jacob would be playing; it would make both Nessie and Bella happy. And honestly Edward didn’t mind the wolf as much as he use to, they’d gotten over most things from the past and got along better then him and Rosalie now. He was getting antsy to get the game started, and he could tell that Alice felt the same way. Hearing her unvoiced question he turned his head towards her, “Not sure, most of them were at the house when I said I’d see them there. Can’t imagine what would be holding them up” Edward said letting his sentence trail off slightly at the end.
Since he couldn’t avoid it or prevent it he could hear her thoughts about not even having holes for her to see through like there usually was with Jacob. More wolves? that would probably put Rosalie in a bad mood, which could possibly mean that him and her would start on one another. He’d avoid that of course, but it was hard when she just pushed his buttons in all the right places.
perhaps a race to fill the time?
Edward was about to say something to that when she was no longer standing next to him. He smiled, she’d need the head start, he was still faster even if she had it. Casting his comment off to the side, Edward took off in a run after her. “Cheater” he called after her in a joking manner, catching up to her quite easily.
