Alysa arrived to school in her jacked up black chevy truck, way before most students would come in. Of coarse she had her reasons. Being she was the new student and wanted to try and just blend in. Of coarse she didn't think that was going to be possible. Especially because for the few days she had been there she had yet to come across a decent truck that was jacked up even the slightest bit.
Her parents had tried to get her to sell the truck and get a car so she wouldn't stick out so much but only over her dead body would she get rid of her truck. Parking in a end parking space she turned the engine off and grabbed her messenger bag.
Getting out she looked around at the small school and frowned. She so wanted to kill her parents for moving here. Closing her door and locking it out of habit she looked around at the other few cars that were in the parking lot.

Edward arrived at school earlier then he ever had in his two previous times at attending Forks High, and surprisingly he was alone a rare thing throughout his years in school. He come early to look around and see what had changed or what had stayed the same, not that it really mattered too much. Edward pulled a quick turn into the parking spot he had many years ago, though this time he had a more updated silver car.
With a sigh he turned off the ignition, pulled himself out of the car and closed the door behind him as he pocketed his keys taking a lot around. Everything was pretty much the same, a different set of students in the parking lot though. Stepping around his car he leaned his back against the trunk and watched the people.
Hearing a car door close a few spaces down from his car he turned his head and was a bit surprised to see a rather nice looking Chevy truck, the last Chevy truck he’d seen in the parking lot was in much worse condition, but that truck was history a long time ago.

Alysa pushed her waist length blond hair over her shoulder and went into the office to get her schedule and other papers. As she walked into the office she looked around, going up to the counter she looked at the woman behind it and spoke,
"Hi, I'm Alysa Halliwell. I need my schedule please."
The woman smiled and nodded and said, "Oh yes. Here you are, dear. Just have the slip attacked to the school map signed by your teachers and bring it back at the end of the day."
Alysa nodded and walked back outside. Going over to her truck she put the tailgate down and jumped up onto it. Looking over her schedule she scratched the back of her neck. She frowned as she saw she had to take gym. She had no problem with it she just hated the smelly locker rooms. Sighing she looked over the map and color coded with her highlighters routes from her classes.
She really wasn't going to like this school especially after she found out the fastpitch softball team sucked.

Edward and his family had already gotten everything they needed a few weeks ago when they arrived back in Forks; it was now a simple task for the family to get settled in one place having done it many times before. Edward saw the girl that had parked a few spaces from him head into the office, guessing that she was new, though her thoughts helped with that conclusion.
He watched the students in the parking lot, which was filling up rather quickly, mess around with their friends waiting for the bell to ring so class could begin. Out of boredom he bounced around from mind to mind, getting himself use to the ‘inner’ voices so that he could easily tune them out when he wanted to. He found the thoughts didn’t really change much and caught a few people’s names that were hooked them with people he graduated with years ago.
Edward turned his head when the girl, he now knew as Alysa came back and sat on the tailgate. He checked his watch and saw he still had a lot of time before class would start so he decided he’d be a bit more friendlier to the population this time around. “Hey”
Edward said to the girl when he was looking in her direction, making sure it was loud enough that she’d hear. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Alysa looked up from her papers as she heard someone greet her.
"Uh, Hi."
She said unasure of why someone was talking to her. She was expecting everyone to stare and whisper before they actually began talking to her. Pushing her hair from her face she said,
"I'm Alysa Haliwell, and you are?"
She tucked her papers into the front of her messenger bag along with her highlighters.

Edward remembered why he didn’t often speak first when it came to humans, he didn’t often know where to go after the introductions but decided he’d make a conscious effort this time around. He almost laughed at her thoughts, most would probably stare and whisper about her
“Edward Cullen, nice too meet you.”
He said adjusting himself so that he was facing her direction instead of straight ahead. Seeing her bag Edward figured he should get his out of the car at some point. “Just move here?” He asked keeping silence out of the conversation. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Alysa nodded
"Yeah, I just moved here with my parents. We moved up here from Texas. So its a big difference. I'm not used to being in such a small town or at a small school for that matter. Its a big change and I really want to ring my parents necks for it."
She paused for a moment and took out some gum,
"So how long have you lived here?"
Popping a piece of gum in her mouth she held the pack out to him,
"Want a piece?"

When she mentioned Texas a slight smile graced his pale lips, she was going to find Forks much different then Texas in more ways then just the smallness. The weather was such a drastic change. “Texas huh? That’s quite a change, in size and weather, going to take some time to get use to”
he said, speculation mostly, since his being a vampire didn’t allow him to live in a place with a good amount of sunshine. “A couple of months” Edward told her. When she asked him if he wanted a stick of gum he hesitated for a short second and decided it would help with the human appearance and against his better judgement walked towards the out stretched pack. “Sure, thanks” he said taking a piece, unwrapping it and tossing it in his mouth. Not the tastiest thing he’s ever had but not the worst either. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Seriously. My parents thought they'd have to tie me up and lock me in a closet when they told me we were moving. I wasn't so keen on leaving especially not happy that my Dad was selling the horse ranch. That kind of blew my fuse box and set me on a rampage. I don't think my dad has gotten over the fact I punched him yet"
She said with a slight shrug, Blowing a strand of hair out of her face shecrossed her arms across her chest,
"So do you have any siblings?"
She raised an eyebrow as she pulled of bottle of water from her bag and took a sip from it.

Edward gave a small laugh, this was kind of amusing. Though he understand the fact about having to move, he did it constantly after a good four years or so, even if it did calm down over the last decade. He raised an eyebrow slightly, “You punched your father?”
He said told her. Edward nodded when she inquired about whether he had siblings or not, “You could say that. Non biological ones, I believe the last time I counted there was five or six of us including myself.” Edward said shaking his head slightly. He wasn’t exactly sure where those said siblings were at the moment but figured they’d show up at some point. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Yes I punched my Father. I have my violent moments of outbursts."
She gave a small shrug and closed her wather bottle up before putting it back in her bag.
"Five other siblings? Sheesh. How do you stay sane?"
She gave a small laugh and began organizing one of her binders out of boredom. As she shuffled through some papers quickly and put them in the right divider shepushed her hair over her shoulder,
"I had a little brother, he died though. Sometimes I really do wonder if thats the reason I'm violent, because I never got my hands around the throat of the guy who did it. I think its also the reason my parents decided to move. But I don't know and I'm starting not to care."
Once she organized the binder she grabbed a blank sheet of paper from her sketch pad and began drawing and writing on it before sliding it into the plastic front of the binder and shoving it back into her bag.

Edward gave small laugh at that. “Well I suppose you could have done worse.”
Edward said when she mentioned she had a few violent outburst. “I wondered that myself sometimes, but its our father. He mediates everyone when its needed. We all like our space so that helps.” Edward said, even if they did have their ups and downs everything seemed to be more smooth running now. He nodded, “That could be one of the reasons… for both you and your parents” he speculated at her reasoning. “Sorry about your brother” Edward added figuring that as probably a horrible experience to live through. Remembering the gum in his mouth he chewed it over between his teeth trying to see if he could figure out what it was suppose to taste like. It didn’t quite work out, it tasted just as bad as every other human food. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"If only everyone new the phrase of I like being in my own personal bubble and don't like visitors." She gave a small laugh and ran a hand roughly through her hair, "I'm actually over the incident. Its my parents that aren't. I don't think the see the bright side of death... Of coarse now that I've said that you probably think I'm a freak for thinking there is a brighter side to death. Of coarse you wouldn't be the first." She gave a small laugh.

Edward laughed, “The world would be a better place.”
Edward, it would definitely not make him look like the stand offish at times. Of course he was getting better with the personal space thing, he wasn’t exactly fifty feet away from this girl, though not exactly close. “Well freak would be a bit of a harsh word” Edward said, he was actually in some people’s opinion the bright side of death. “I think there may be two sides to death.” Edward added with a shrug.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Depends on the person and their view points. Death is actually just lifes next great adventure....That is if people call rotting in a coffin an adventure." She gave a shrug and scratched the bridge of her nose, "Some don't actually enjoy thinking about rotting in a coffin. Or think of it as fun for that matter." She gave a small laugh.
"Ugh this accumilating moisture is going to drive me fucking batty. What were my parents thinking when they decided on moving to here of all places. I am so close to just driving back to Texas on my own."
